Known as Wu Wei Zi, or five-flavour fruit, in Chinese herbal tradition.

Its traditional name refers to sweet, sour, bitter, pungent and salty qualities.

How to use
  1. 1Simmer 1–2 tsp dried schisandra berries in 300ml water for 10–15 mins.
  2. 2Drink 1–2 cups daily.
  3. 3Complex, multi-layered flavour — sour-sweet-bitter with a warming finish.
  4. 4Pairs well with astragalus or reishi for deep adaptogenic blends.
  5. 5Best taken consistently over 4–8 weeks for full adaptogenic benefits.
