Terms & conditions
Who you are buying from
This site is operated by Herbishire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14744357, whose registered office is at Unit 20C, Moorlands Trading Estate, Bristol Road, Gloucester, GL1 5RZ, United Kingdom.
You can reach us by email at herbishire@gmail.com or by post to Unit 20C, Moorlands Trading Estate, Bristol Road, Gloucester, GL1 5RZ, United Kingdom.
How a contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract comes into existence only when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched — not when you pay, and not when you receive the order acknowledgement.
If we cannot supply something you ordered — most often because it has sold out between your order and our packing it — we will tell you and refund that item in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and is shown in full at checkout before you pay.
Payment is taken by our payment provider on Shopify's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number. If a price is obviously wrong — a clear pricing error rather than a bargain — we will contact you before dispatch rather than silently cancelling or charging the higher amount.
Age and suitability
You must be 18 or over to buy from this site.
Everything we sell is a food supplement, a herbal product or a cosmetic product. Nothing here is a licensed medicine, and nothing here is offered to prevent, treat or cure any disease. Supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any medication, or being treated for any condition, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using herbal products. Per-item cautions are recorded on each plant’s page and you should read them.
Description of goods
Natural material varies. Colour, aroma, leaf size and cut will differ from harvest to harvest, and photographs are indicative rather than exact. That variation is normal and is not a defect.
We take care that everything written on this site is accurate, but the traditional and historical information on plant pages is published as background, not as advice on which to make a decision about your health.
Subscriptions
Some products can be bought on a subscription, delivered and charged automatically at the frequency you choose. The price per delivery and the frequency are shown before you check out and in your order confirmation.
You can skip a delivery, pause or cancel your subscription at any time from your account, with no minimum term and no fee. Cancelling before a payment is taken stops that delivery and every one after it.
Your right to cancel within 14 days, set out on the Returns & refunds page, applies to your first delivery. We will tell you in advance if the price of a subscription changes, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Cancellation, returns and faults
Your right to cancel, the exemptions that apply to unsealed and loose goods, and your rights if something is faulty are all set out on the Returns & refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses, as this site sells to consumers.
Content and intellectual property
The text, photographs and plant monographs on this site are ours and may not be copied or republished without permission. You are of course welcome to read, print and share pages for your own use.
Reviews submitted by customers remain theirs; by submitting one you give us permission to display it on the relevant product page. We publish reviews as received and we do not write or commission them.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there.
