PMS Tea
Select sizeThe plant
A proprietary blend of vitex, angelica, ashwagandha, dandelion root and liquorice root, mixed in-house rather than sold as a single herb.
What's in it
Contains vitex, angelica, ashwagandha, dandelion root and liquorice root.
How it works
Vitex is the anchor: it is the herb most associated with the monthly cycle in Western practice, and it sets the blend's purpose. Angelica and ginger-like warming roots round out the body of the cup so it drinks as a comfort tea rather than a bitter one. Ashwagandha sits alongside them as the steadying element for the days when the cycle is most demanding. Dandelion root brings the bitterness that stimulates the mouth and digestive process, and liquorice root finishes it with a natural sweetness — which is what stops a bitter-root blend needing sugar.
In the tradition
Vitex, angelica and licorice have long histories in Western and East Asian herbal traditions for women’s monthly wellbeing. This modern blend brings those traditions together in a simple cup.
Vitex berries are also called chasteberries. Licorice root can taste naturally sweet, so the blend can feel rounded without added sugar.
